Desert Bighorn or Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep Permits are considered
separate once-in-a-lifetime hunting opportunities. Usually Utah offers at
least one non-resident Rocky Mountain Sheep Permit, in one hunt unit and
three non-resident Desert Bighorn Sheep Permits offered in two separate hunt
units. These highly prized and coveted permits are difficult, at best, to
obtain but definitely worth applying for! “You can’t win if you don’t play”
is the rule with any lottery draw permit system and Utah is no different.
