ABOUT Howell Wildlife Outfitters
Hunts....
GUIDES: Goose has over 25 years
of guiding / outfitting / booking agency experience throughout West. HWO has
established a Professional Network of Qualified Outfitters with an inventory
of 50 plus guides that "Goose" has trained, supervised, worked with, within our
professional network family team.
Our Trophy Class guided hunt
packages are offered as a (2X1) two hunters to one guide.
Our World Class Hunts have a guide
ratio of 1 hunter for 1 guide (1x1) with extra hunting days, and in many
situations the opportunity 'for you to come pre-scout with us' prior to your
actual hunt start dates. Thus optimizing your opportunity to harvest the
very best trophy within your hunt unit and hunt season.
Howell Wildlife Outfitters is
a Fully Licensed, United States Forest Service & Bureau of Land Management
Permitted and Insured Outfitter Operation. Always has been and always will be!
All HWO guides are Qualified
Seasoned Professionals, trained in CPR and First Aid. They are experienced
and knowledgeable with your unit and the Trophy Animals that reside there.
Your HWO guide will pre-scout your unit prior to your arrival, to locate and
pattern the very best trophy available within your hunt unit. (Once you book
you will be provided with the necessary contact info for you to speak
directly with your guide.)
ACCOMMODATIONS:
First class comfortable accommodations are a priority with us. These will
include either heated wall tents, travel trailers, hunting lodges, cabins and / or hotels for
your sleeping quarters.
MEALS:
Our camp cooks pride themselves on preparing home cooked favorites. You will
always have plenty to eat, and they will make sure your dietary needs are
taken care of. Soft drinks, water, Gatorade and snacks will also be provided.
(ALCOHOL IS NOT
PROVIDED.... although you may bring your own.)
TROPHY CARE:
Your guide will skin and cape your trophy for you. We can recommend and
assist with local professional services and assist with the
arrangements for expert taxidermy. You may also have him prepare your trophy
so that you may transport it to the taxidermist of your choice.
MEAT CARE:
Upon harvesting your trophy, it will be skinned and prepared for cold
storage / processing. We can again recommend and assist with professional
services that are available locally.
TRANSPORTATION: Four-wheel drive vehicles will be provided
throughout your hunt, from the agreed upon meeting location.
GRATUITIES: We are often
asked about customary tipping practices. Tipping is a gesture of
appreciation for services rendered and, unless otherwise noted, is not
included in the hunt price. It is customary to acknowledge quality service
by including gratuity of 10% - 20%.
We all understand
that gratuities are strictly at the hunter’s discretion, however, our
professional Guides and Cooks alike work very hard to ensure your hunt is
successful as well as unforgettable and appreciate your gratuity. Tips
average 10% to 15% of the booked hunt package price for guides and $100 to
$150 for
our cooks, per
hunter - on a 5 day hunt.
Goose
limits the number of clients that he takes Trophy and / or World Class Hunting, so that we may provide
the Professional attention that will make your hunt special. Please book
early, as space availability is limited and my best guides are sure to book
out early.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your hunt.
With the remaining hunt balance due 30 days before your hunt start date.
